The Shock Box Helmet Invention has the potential to change every Sport that requires a helmet Forever. As soon as I first saw The Shock Box on the Dragons Den It was very obvious this is a Great Idea and soon to be a very successful product when it becomes MANDATORY All players have their helmets fitted with the Shock Box Sensor Technology.

The technology for the Shock Box was invented by Danny Crossman and Scott Clark, Owners of Impakt Protective Co. When a Football Player, Hockey Player, Lacrosse Player, Skateboarder, Motorcycle Rider or Skier suffers a hard enough blow that could lead to a concussion or severe brain injury, the Shock Box measures the impact and records the data. This data can then be wireless transmitted to any smart phone and inform a coach, parent or even the officials of a potential concussion.

We have "Smart" everything else, so we might as well have Smart Helmets on our Kids at the very least. It's just really good cheap insurance that may effect them for the rest of their life. Did I say Mandatory? I wouldn't be surprised if that day is coming soon.

Shock Box on the Dragons Den

Danny Crossman and Scott Clark came into The Dragons Den looking for a $350,000.00 investment in exchange for 10% of the Shock Helmet Business. Between the two of them they have invested around $500,000.00 to develop the helmet technology with $200k going towards R&D. They would like to get a helmet manufacturer to build the Shock Box within the helmet instead of the add on currently in use.

Kevin O'Leary makes the first offer of $350K but he wants 20% of the business. He knows a good deal when he sees one and is not interested in any other Dragon partners.

Bruce Croxen gave Scott and Danny the same offer but had no problems with other Dragons coming in on the deal. They all agreed until Jim Treliving decides they collectively would need 25% of the business to make this work.

All 5 Dragons have offers to invest in the Shock Helmet Sensors when they are reminded by Danny he could not go any higher then the 10% because of other investors already involved with the Company.

Without leaving any room for negotiating, something All Angel Investors like to do, the Dragon Investors started dropping out more like Dragon Flies until there was only one. Treliving has connections with Hockey Canada which he knows they could benefit from this "Smart Helmet Sensor' Technology and ends up giving them exactly what they originally asked for. A very smart business decision for both parties.

Shock Box Update

It may of seemed like a smart decision when the Dragons Den aired on TV, but I'm not sure it was very wise of Jim Treliving to back out of the deal during the Due Diligence phase. Obviously Jim had his reasons, but the potential if/when mandated, would make all investors in The Shock Box Technology Wildly Successful.

The NHL and NFL are both testing the Shock Box on how this could help diagnose concussions and prevent future injuries. Head concussions are so prevalent in the NFL, there's a multi-billion dollar lawsuit filed by over 4000 Professional Football Players against the League. Sometimes winning isn't everything during a game, especially if it could effect the rest of your life.

When wearing the Shock Box helmet sensors there's no question how hard you were hit and how it effected your most precious commodity, your Brain. It obviously won't protect you from a head concussion or a serious brain injury, but it will register how hard the impact was and if you should seek medical help instead of continuing to play and risking a more severe injury.

It's A Great Idea That's Time Has Come!
