 The Go Tire Company was started by Craig Howes and Heather Murphy from Red Deer, AB with full intentions of building the mobile tire company into a franchise. I must say the idea of a tire service coming to me rather then waiting in some lobby sure sounds appealing. As a matter a fact, I really love this entire concept and it's easy to see this will become a very successful business seen on the Dragons Den.

Go Tire is Canada's first mobile tire company franchise where customers can go online, pick out a new set of tires and have them installed at your Home, Business or anywhere your vehicle is at the time. They also offer a unique service that has to be a first in the industry, the Go Tire Hotel. With this service they will come to your location twice a year and swap out your summer tires for your winter ones. They will then take your tires to the Go Tire Hotel where they will store them til the following season.

Craig Howes and Heather Murphy came into the Dragons Den looking for a $175k investment for 20% equity in their mobile tire business. The couple knew they had a winning franchise formula and was not interested in negotiating with the $875,000.00 valuation. A bold move on their part that only left the Dragons with a take it or leave it proposition.

Kevin O'Leary and Bruce Croxen both love this concept and eventually agree to the valuation, but they would like more equity in the new franchise to make it worth their time. Craig comes up with a creative solution raising their combined interest in Go Tire Inc. to 25% for a $218,750.00 investment. Both Dragons agree to raise financial stake for an additional 5% and close the deal during the Show.

Go Tire Franchise Update

 The entire concept for the Go Tire business was a huge success with the audience as with the Dragons themselves. Within the first day after the Dragons Den aired, Craig and heather were swamped with potential franchisees interested in owning their own mobile tire service.

According to the website there is now 17 Go Tire Franchises operating in Canada with more coming online in the near future. They are now expanding the service to include mobile windshield chip repairs and now mobile detailing and a stain removing service.

The future looks very bright for this brand new franchise that clearly has a lot of room to grow and become one of The Dragons Den most successful businesses ever seen on the TV Show.
